Researchers in Stockholm, Sweden discovered that a chicken will cross the road for a pretty girl or at least peck at her more. ~April 2004
During a study in which Ghirlanda, Jansson, and Enquist trained chickens to react to human faces, the chickens showed preferences for faces consistent with general human attraction preferences. It would appear that mate preference is directly linked to phenotypic qualities:
