Quantum Entanglement between Soulmates

Soulmates are often defined as those individuals who share a deep natural affinity. When most think of soulmates, they instantly think of star-crossed lovers who magically find their way back to one another, and when they do, fireworks explode!

QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT

Quantum entanglement is the notion that a single particle or object can exist in more than one state at once. A particle can have two different positions, orientations, and charges at the same time, but will only specifically reveal one of these states when observed or measured.

This theory also suggests that two particles, miles, or light-years apart, can be linked by their quantum state. If one particle at one end of the universe switches its orientation, another particle on the other side would instantly change as well.

Assuming that Einstein's galactic speed limit - the speed of light - is not strictly enforced, assuming that it is the particles that are linked and not only some field or wave affecting the particles, then the idea of quantum entanglement, that 'spooky action at a distance' concept would expand our perspective of local-realism. In other words, our realism would extend far beyond our localized experience or perception of existence.

QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT BETWEEN SOUL MATES


For fun, let us hypothesize that separated quantum systems exist in an entangled state, and let us also hypothesize that these states are held or flow through the human body. 

The dynamics of the combined theory (quantum entanglement + soulmates) would characterize the affinity or shared state reported by people for centuries. 

But that's not all, folks! 
Let us introduce an additional concept into our scientifically absurd theory:

REINCARNATION



The doctrine of reincarnation was formulated in India sometime around the 9th century BCE, when the Brahmana writings were composed. The Upanishads defined the concept in clearer terms between the 7th and 5th centuries BCE. The idea was later adopted in other Eastern religions (Jainism and Chinese Taoism) due to the spread of Buddhism in Asia. 

Pythagoras (ca. 570-490 BCE) also reportedly proposed that the soul* was immortal and went through a series of reincarnations, a long cycle that results in many lives and bodies.


Quantum Entanglement 
+ Soulmates 
+ Reincarnation 

We now have the foundation for the next question:

What if we are our own soulmates? 


If we play around with the theory of reincarnation and its possibility residing in proving quantum entanglement true, then:

  1. Quantum entanglement makes possible the notion of soulmates
  2. The notion of soulmate is not limited to the entity with whom we may or may not be cosmically predestined 
  3. Therefore a soulmate could extend to a former incarnation, an entity with whom we are quantum-ly sharing a common soul or particle(s)

These concepts represent a mind a play. They cannot be proven by classical physicists and are therefore indulgent hypotheticals.

Plato in his dialogue The Symposium, has Aristophanes recount a story about soulmates. Aristophanes describes soulmates as those early humans who had four arms, four legs, and a single head with two faces. There were among these early humans three genders: man, woman and the "Androgynous". The men were children of the sun, the women children of the earth and the Androgynous children of the moon, which was born of the sun and earth.

The gods were jealous of the power the early humans possessed and thus feeling concerned, split them apart. One side benefit was that this would double the tributes humans paid to the gods. However, after being split apart, these new humans were utterly miserable and unable to do anything but wallow for the love they had lost.

Finally, Apollo took pity upon them and sewed them back together; the navel being the physical reminder of their original existence.

From this day forth every human instinctively searches for his or her other half. It is said that when the two find each other, not even death can divide them.

Quantum Teleportation

A new loosely held hypothesis based on gravitational
forces might just offer the secret to making
quantum teleportation devices a reality


In general, galaxies grow in size by merging with other galaxies to become increasingly larger. Over time gravitational forces bring them together despite the expansion of the universe. El Gordo, the biggest known cluster of galaxies, for example, is the result of a collision between two large clusters. During the collision process gas is compressed within each cluster to high temperatures. Scientists estimate the relative speed of the collision by measuring the comet shaped gas cloud with two long tails stretching between the dense cores of the two clusters of galaxies. The estimated distance is ~2200km/sec.), which puts it at the limit of what is allowed by current theory for dark matter, but that is a discussion for another day. 

If we were to extract one nugget of thought from gravitational forces: gas; and insert it into our loosely held quantum teleportation hypothesis, we might consider the following scenario: 


Imagine a device that compresses the particles between spaces, colliding them if you will, so that distinct spaces become closer or fold in on themselves. 


Conceptually we're talking about folding a sheet of paper (space) in half so that one end touches the other. If one end of my sheet is Paris and the other end Mexico City, folding the paper in half would bring these two points in the universe much closer together. The trip between the two would then be near instantaneous. By compressing the particles, quantum teleportation or the bending of spacetime is conceivable. Essentially when we fly from one location to another, we are flying through particles. Compress them and bring them closer together, and voilá, we now have the geometry upon which to construct our teleporter machine. 


If you imagine space or the air as being filled with all sorts of particles, coming in and out of existence, changing shape, colliding, etc. then "air" is not vacant; on the contrary, it is crowded and busy with lots of particle traffic.

Transport phenomena concerns the exchange of mass, energy, and momentum between observed and studied systems. Simply put, basic conservation laws come into play. The fundamental analyses in all three subfields: heat, momentum, and mass transport, are the phenomena that lead to transport, the sum of their contributions equalling zero. 

Given that transport phenomena encompass all aspects of physical change in the universe, we can consider the possibility of quantum teleportation as a phenomena in relationship to a physical system.

Whereas in quantum teleportation we're essentially talking about ...

Irregardless of how you or I consider momentum transport, systems move toward one another by nature of their arrangement. Compressing the particles that separate one space from another essentially involves our destroying our sense of "material" identity via heat conduction (energy transfer), fluid flow (momentum transfer), molecular diffusion (mass transfer), radiation and electric charge (such as those used in semiconductors), stepping into a quantum teleportation machine, and bending space or otherwise compressing the particles that separate California from Paris.


For Readers who grew up watching Star Trek (the original or Next Generation), you know that the Away Team was converted into energy waves and then reconverted into solid objects, like how a telephone converts our voices into electromagnetic waves till reconverting them into sounds. 

With the advent of a molecular scanner, we could decode our entire quantum signature (or at least our material signature) and hypothetically convert that into electromagnetic waves, then rebuild or reconvert that data into our physical body, intact with all its memories and corresponding idiosyncrasies (such writing in a blog) and POOF! ... magically appear someplace else. 

Metaphysically speaking the possibilities of quantum teleportation are not limited to this planet or even to this galaxy. Engaging our hyperspace drive, the possibility of inter-dimensional transportation or jumping galaxies by compressing the space (particles) that separate galaxies from one another is conceivable. And while we're at it, if we're not limiting our transportation theory to linear behavior, perhaps someday we'll be able to travel in nonliner directions, i.e., time travel ... though we might have to be willing to hop inside a black hole to make that happen.



Teleporting to Paris for a private art showing, thereafter to London for dinner, and then back to Mexico in time to tuck our kids in bed before they go to sleep really depends on the state of the science, the state of the technology, and if we are willing to hop inside a quantum teleportation device. I can't say I'd jump to go first, but I'd definitely be an early adopter if given the opportunity. Until then I'll have to contend myself with traveling the old fashioned way ...

Playing Along with Nature

The strangest thing about quantum mechanics is how extraordinary these theories are in predicting the observed behavior of physical systems. Apparently Mother Nature wants us to turn old classical theories of the physics of our Universe upside down, if only to get a better look. 

Nearly everything I write about in my blog has an element of quantum theory pulsating through it. Irrespective of where my thoughts land, irrespective of their corresponding sensations, I, like everyone else, am held, suspended like a Big Red Balloon in a quantum like experience and thus subject to coparticipating in the processes by nature of my existence. 

This idea sends my mind off skipping through the many charming allegories of the world. A series of analogies such as Alice in Wonderland or The Wizard of Oz, or older classical stories of the gods and goddesses of myth and legend to the modern scientific tales, including the quantum tail, offer my brain a delightful romp through the many forms of perceived or imagined existence. 

I linger in the places that bring me the most pleasure or those whose understandings expand my own. Wherever I land I examine the space I inhibit. A scientist might refer to this space as Quantumland, a mystic as Nirvana, a magi as Source, a pious one as Heaven; however one might refer to the spaces my mind travels in order to share blog post after blog post on seemingly divergent topics, the spaces are there to describe. 

Whether any description, metaphysical or scientific (presuming method or only method differentiates the two), isn't pure fiction and the characters imaginary, one cannot know. The lives we live, the thoughts we formulate, the ideas we hold come together in the sense that all of these experiences take place from within the "real-world" and are thus part of the real world we seek.


What we create varies with our environment and her present elements. Playing along means exploring all possibilities within each realm while that realm is present. The effects of the varying vibrations within any realm continually move those spaces forward, making every realm temporal in nature. 

Whenever we arrive to a realm we are encountering that realm in a specific, not all-defining, moment. The combination of our culminated vibrations and attractions and repulsions combine to erect new edifices which remain for however long nature provides a complimentary environment for their presence. 

This quantum space is in some ways like biological experience insomuch that it is temporary in form, with all forms very much being at the grace of natural elements. This does not diminish the presence of any form, it merely offers a heightened experience outside the realm of what we perceive as its classical (temporal) movements. 

From these forms ripple outward all those amazing relevances we encounter in the world, the significance of any given wave or form encountered are ultimately the stories or adventures we tell ourselves. 

Quantum theory is sometimes nonsensical in how it describes the many worlds we physically, mentally, and energetically inhabit. But nonsense can be good; it can be more than those delightfully funny moments, it can also describe those highly intoxicating and mesmerizing experiences, the ones that leave us in a state of wonderment.

Wonderment may have very little to do with the efficacy of a given thought, unless one is seeking a connection to combine elements. Seeking these connections between all our sciences, mythologies and fantastical tales involves our reaching beyond ourselves to peek out over the castles in our lives, including the ones we erect for ourselves.

Dr. Sticky Presents: The Adhesive Property of Thoughts

The Adhesive Property of Thoughts



If we assume that a thought is an object, we can further presume that the object has properties or certain characteristics. Imagine if you will, a brain coral. Diploria labryinthiformis is a species of brain coral, so-named because of its appearance. Inside the coral live a single-celled symbiotic algae within its cells. Let's call them particles. Corals are very sensitive to environmental changes, or fluctuations in particle distribution or location. Basically, when particles move (inside or around) the brain coral, it is affected, thus shifting its appearance from a form of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) to calcite as its particles use up energie.



If you think about the particles that are enclosed within the cells of this brain coral, so too can you image quantum particles existing in a host environment. Whether by property or characteristic these particles are "sticky," we can assume they must stick together to create larger particle agreements, such as a conscious thought all the way to a 2-dimensional object. 

At the sub-atomic level, particles look like little round lights that vibrate within a lattice-like space. At certain, cyclical intervals they combine together and protrude outward. This appears to be the first embers of a thought.

Like the Diploria labyrinthiformis, thoughts cluster together to form colonies, with their skeletons (corallums) becoming 2D objects. These 2D objects are the structures that protrude out into various forms, depending upon the position of the particle or what we would call "type of thought."

This makes one wonder whether the particles themselves have properties which allow them to "stick" or behave adhesively - forming colonies - or whether they (the properties) simply provide the energie or fuel for the existing lattice. Of course, the particles when combined with the lattice could emit a chemical or otherwise quantum-like signal in the form of a wave, which directs the flow of the particles coexistence toward the protrusions, which as mentioned above, seem for form in cyclically repeating patterns.

Let's consider, initially, that the particles bring with them properties (more likely, the combination of the lattice and the particles have properties that when combined create what we would call thought). If the particles, presumably, arrive to the lattice fully energized or charged with energie, we will presume that energie has a further characteristic, which would account for the myriad of thoughts, objects, and phenomena in the world. The characteristic of this particle, as described, would be one that adheres or bonds items together. Again, it could be the combination of the lattice and particle together that create this characteristic. 



In human concepts, the oldest known adhesive was utilized dating back to 200,000 BC, birch-bark-tar gluing spear stone flakes to wood (Italy). Later, at Sibudu Cave, evidence of heat-treated mixed compounds used to glue objects together was found. However, we're talking subatomic or - this universe - type of thing, so we're going back to the first moment after our Big Bang. 



As these particles or thoughts left over from other lattice work collided in a great cosmic evolutionary reset button, they found their way back to each other (whilst creating new combinations) once again.  




So, if these particles are already precoded with information as well as possessing characteristics as a direct result of that information - presuming information is absorption of energie - let's assume it's "sticky". 



Coming full circle, it makes sense in our worldview because from our perspective (being that of self-conscious joined particles in a specific location on the lattice grid), thoughts become tangible when they evolve into actions, words, objects, or concepts. It's like we're a left-over thought of ourself, which was previously thought into existence, which means we exist in all spaces just unassembled or unbonded. 



If, instead, we consider that the lattice emits a chemical or otherwise quantum-like signal in the form of a wave, which directs the flow of the particles' coexistence in the form of clustered protrusions found in cyclically repeating patterns, then we can assume that thoughts are not created from particles but are instead product or thought fossils, like the corallum (skeleton) of the brain coral. This is the "tangible" aspect of this phenomena. So, like the protrusions that appear on the brain coral, so too can our existence (and any other tangible object) in the universe be considered: a fossil of a previously considered 'thought' that is born into the world, changes form, and expands with newly acquired energie or information (or particles absorbed from other points along its neighboring two-dimensional lattice, which is affected by other dimensions or by the properties of its bond or adhesion) until it contracts when coming close, hypothetically speaking, to running out of fuel or energie. 



Note: skeletons have less mass than bodies, this might account for the phenomenon of particles that float around objects. It would appear that there are more particles creating a chair than those which are needed to create it in visible two-dimensional space. The chair exists as an after-after thought - we see the contraction of a thought, which resembles what we call 'a chair' - eventually decaying or releasing all the energie left in the skeleton without further consideration (thought and action) to maintain or restore it (by adding in new material).



For those of you wondering, this is how Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect were able to become chairs in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. 




Next: Did Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect, at the same exact moment they were released from the Volgons, imagine themselves existing as chairs? Did the Volgons discard them like furniture and thus think into existence their becoming chairs? Did they previously exist as a chair and in the transition of being picked up as hitchhikers, somehow momentarily revert to a prior incarnation as a chair? 

These questions and more lead one to presume that we can think a thought into existence or an object into existence (circumstance, experience, encounter, etc.) simply by sending enough particles in that direction to reassemble into a larger colony or bond. Given the example in this post, it would seem that we can think anything into existence given enough energie and intent.
