Romantic Integrity

Romantic Integrity: the quality of being honest about the prior use of jokes, poems, quotes, stories, and oneliners one uses to attract a mate, e.g., I used this line before, and it worked then.

When one holds strong moral principles and an uprightness about the techniques one uses to win over the affections of a mate, one is exhibiting romantic integrity.

Heraclitus wrote of the continual newness of all things, encouraging others to speak earnestly and listen intently. A visionary who wrote aphorisms that were meant to be taken as visionary disclosures of greater realities, Heraclitus told us that it was "not possible to step twice into the same river."

When one employs the same romantic techniques over and over again, one is acting outside the realm of romantic integrity.

IS ROMANTIC INTEGRITY POSSIBLE THE 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th....  time around?

Upholding romantic integrity over the course of replacing one person with the next is indeed a difficult proposition due to the inequality between maintaining an internal consistency with respect to how one approaches romantic entanglements... together with the need for giving to another one's whole and undivided honesty, honor, good character, principles, morals, virtue, decency, fairness, sincerity, truthfulness, creativity, spontaneity, understanding, exuberance, and trustworthiness.

So, how does one maintain an internal coherence while offering someone new a sense of unity, togetherness, and unicity?

The answer to this question is beyond the scope of this writer whose only advice would be to embrace the newness of yourself in any given moment... to look for new opportunities to express yourself, be with yourself, and learn about yourself... to look forward rather than backward... to seek out new romantic suggestions from books or magazines, or to get to know the other person so that you can base your new romantic inclinations upon their unique expression of self.

BOTTOM LINE:

Do not recycle past relationships...
unless you wish to repeat them

over
and over
and over
again
