Sophy Went To Paris

Dear Readers:

MUCHOS MERCIS for following my blog!  As the title states, I have gone to Paris and am enjoying a lovely summer exploring the arts...

Here's some of my art,
which I drew while hanging out with friends
in the Tuileries Gardens...

Regular followers of my blog who are familiar with the 40 Pieces of the Happiness Puzzle series, probably have a good idea of what I'm exploring here in Paris.

A testament to my work is my firm belief in the value of empirical research.  I believe it is important to get out and verify theories before publishing them. Theories are devoid of meaning when they are simply theorized or logically deduced.  That's not what I'm going for here.

It is my goal to have fun exploring humor.  If my efforts are to result in a meaningful contribution to the field, they need to be more than mere regurgitation of past concepts: analysis without comprehension of any subject is dangerous and we have far too much of it in the world already.

The only thing any of us can honestly speak about with any authority whatsoever are the things we have experienced first-hand.

So, I'm off to gain some more first-hand understanding of the things I've been writing about!

Wishing you all a FUNTASTIC SUMMER!
(I'll be back in September)
